In Tune with Nature

Wally and I stole 42 toadpoles from nature last weekend. Don't worry, we're going to give them back - hopefully. If we don't kill them all we'll be able to release them back into the wild after they morph. The whole process may take about 8 weeks, and while it's great fun to watch them on a daily basis, I'm getting impatient to see their little legs develop. I'm pretty sure we're doing everything right; we're feeding them frozen lettuce and algae wafers, removing the lettuce frequently so it doesn't get stinky, and changing the water when it looks a bit cloudy...fingers crossed. My only concern is over-crowding. Some of them are still tiny; the fact that they are not all growing at the same rate is a sign of over-crowding. I may buy another tank and split them up. We'll need another tank anyway, as when they develop their legs they have to be removed from the water into a humid, leafy atmosphere. Wish us luck.

This is an interesting website - English or American, who has the right to claim the name?

Dr. Jimothy asks "Who is Dr. Who"? Well...

There’s a Tardis in my office. Well, not in my office, but in the adjoining office. It disguises itself as a cabinet for storing architectural drawings, but it’s way too suspicious for my liking. The first piece of evidence is that it stands well away from any wall, it’s just right there, a foot or so off the beaten path to the restroom. Why, I ask it, is it not leaning up against a wall, like any normal, well mannered cabinet? It doesn’t answer. The second evidentiary matter is that it’s around the size of a police call box (an English one); the dynamics just perfect for quantum leaping. Is it the original Tardis in disguise, or is it a distant cousin, lost in both time and space? I was going to bring a long scarf in from home, open the door as if to enter and pose for a photo. But I thought better of it: I’m scared.

I broke my glasses the other day. The screw didn’t fall out or anything as undramatic as that: The arm just clean snapped in two. What do I do now? Do I spend $50+ on a new arm; do I spend $100+ on a new pair of glass; do I go back to contacts even though I think they are the cause of my headaches; or do I continue to wear my glasses with sticky tape holding the arm in place. As a young (huh hmm) professional, I fear the latter is not an option.

Michael Savage Rules!

Political Genius, Michael Savage has the guts to spell it out in his new book: Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. Full of shocking facts and reminders of political history forgotten by many us of "sheeple", it will open your eyes to where we have gone wrong in the past (and the present) and why these mistakes continue to haunt us now... I'm starting the campaign now: Savage - 2008. Can you run for President under a pseudonym?
